"Art and creativity are where we do not expect them"
Creativity and art open hearts and doors to one's mind, introducing the hidden parts of oneself. Creative expression helps young people capture their ideas, thoughts, and visions about the world, giving them a voice. Creativity and culture are participatory and interactive, as young people do not just passively listen but explore, discover, and communicate. Creativity encourages them to be more active and present as members of society. Art and creativity are hidden in different aspects of a person's life, they are also in places where we don't expect them.
This website you have launched offers young people and youth workers dedicated to fostering creativity and culture in young people the opportunity to develop their competencies in business development and entrepreneurship in creativity and culture. It also offers examples of good practice through short videos where those who have embarked on the path of entrepreneurship talk about their experiences and advice on what not to forget when starting a business. Youth workers can find many activities to support young people in the Training Methodology. In the handbook, young people can discover what skills to develop to cover all the areas that the development of entrepreneurship in culture and creativity needs.
More about the project:The project OW - One Way = culture + youth + creativity, implemented thanks to the support of the Erasmus+ programme (2021-2023), addresses the issue of young people who do not have good conditions to develop the competencies needed for entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries, as well as youth workers who do not work systematically on the development of young people in this field. The identified causes of these phenomena include the fact that youth workers lack methodical support in developing these competencies in young people, who in turn lack methodical support in the field of entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries, as well as the fact that young people interested in culture and creativity lack inspiration, examples of good practice and connections to entrepreneurs in this sector.
The aim of the project is, therefore, to increase the missing support for youth workers to work with young people in the field of culture and creativity, to increase methodological support for young people in the field of entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries, as well as to increase the networking and exchange of good practice examples between young people and young entrepreneurs in the field of culture and creativity. The project primarily targets youth workers, secondarily young people and artists from the creative and cultural industries. The expected outputs of the project include a report on the educational needs of young people in the field of entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries, a methodology for the training of youth workers in the field of entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative sectors, a handbook on entrepreneurship of young people in the cultural and creative industries and a web-based platform of examples of good practice of young creators and creatives. In the long term, these results increase young people's competencies and employability in the cultural and creative industries.
